Our large hall, conveniently located, can accommodate audiences for conferences, retreats, trainings, or even weddings. We also have two beautiful garden areas with Lake Kivu as a backdrop available for weddings or other various celebrations and gatherings. Provision of sound equipment, decorations, and catering for your event are also available upon request along with booking.

Our comfortable rooms are tastefully and traditionally decorated. They are designed to make you feel at ease with everything you need. There are rooms available with bathrooms attached, and all rooms have a shared patio space available where you can sit outside to enjoy the scenery whether you are working or relaxing.

Each room comes with access to a functioning kitchen within the house where guests can cook, if they would like. We also maintain a very busy restaurant on site with dedicated chefs who can cook a global variety of dishes. Traditional Rwandan food and Western style meals are both available along with delicious desserts and refreshments. Regular meals through the guest house restaurant are available for visitors, and catering of special gatherings, meetings, and celebrations is also available. An extensive restaurant menu is available for breakfast, tea, lunch, and dinner.

One of the African Great Lakes, Lake Kivu is idyllic and safe for recreation. There are walking paths down to the lake that are near the Kibogora Mission & Guest House. Transportation via boat or car to the Kumbya Retreat Center along the lake is also available during your stay for a small, additional fee. At the Kumbya Retreat Center, you will find kayaks available for rent and a secluded area perfect for swimming or a picnic. Our dedicated staff are available to assist in planning and coordinating your visit to the shores of Lake Kivu at your request.
